"My-Space is the new Kool-Aid"

Business Week sounds the "MySpace Generation" alarm:
Although networks are still in their infancy, experts think they're already creating new forms of social behavior that blur the distinctions between online and real-world interactions. In fact, today's young generation largely ignores the difference.

It's true! Just this Saturday I wandered into the public library in Echo Park to check my e-mail. First of all, no one was reading a damn book in the whole place. All of the 25 public computers were occupied, and 70% of them were taken by MySpace junkies. Junior high school girls and homeless men, adding music videos to their profiles, saying "Hi" to their sister.
